“That Puget Sound” is the debut album by Seattle’s premier pop-punk band, The Drolls. It was recorded by the legendary Kurt Bloch (The Fastbacks, Young Fresh Fellows) and is chock full of earworms, standing as an example of pop-punk perfection. The history of The Drolls is as follows… The three members used to be in other bands (Sicko and Chinchilla, respectively). One of them (Julie) is still in another band (Guest Directors). Two of them (Denny and Josh) used to be in another band together (the aforementioned Sicko). Now they’re in this band. If you know your 90’s Seattle and San Diego punk rock history, you know that these are some serious players. If you know music, you know (or will learn) they’re a seriously great band. If you actually know The Drolls, you know that they don’t take themselves too seriously but are seriously great people. For serious!
