SHACK UPS - Shack It Up (LP)

The ShackUps, hailing from Bloomington, Indiana, is comprised of Joshua Bennett (Crooked County, Gentleman Caller), Vincent Edwards (Murder by Death), Chris Kupersmith (Uvula, Gentleman Caller), and Rusty Peterson (Josephine Foster & the Supposed, Davy Jay Sparrow). The band releases their debut album Shack It Up! In January 2016. Songwriter Kenny Childers of Rough Trade Publishing says of the band, “They write self-aware anthems reminding us that there is heart and life in everyday things we make the mistake of ignoring.” He likens the band’s sound to “Village Green Preservation Society-era Kinks, less annoying Dead Milkmen, Violent Femmes, and The Go-Go’s.”
