FRIENDS OF CESAR ROMERO - War Party Favors (CD)

Snappy Little Numbers

  • $8.00

Rapid City, SD garage-punk act Friends of Cesar Romero — you know, THAT Cesar Romero... the guy who played a winsome and toothy Joker in the 1960s “Batman” TV series— has just released “War Party Favors” on Denver based label Snappy Little Numbers. Rampantly raucous fans of tape hiss and gorgeous, gross guitar riffage, FOCR will put a smile on your face that will make even the crown prince of crime envious. Northern Cheyenne tribal member J. Waylon Porcupine is the band’s principal songwriter/member, has released 11 full length albums as well as countless EP’s and singles since forming the entity in 2011. While Porcupine writes, records and produces as a one-man band, he regularly hits the road with whichever friends are willing to help him out as his live bandmates. With over 300 songs registered to his name with performance rights organization BMI, Porcupine is among the most prolific songwriters in the history of South Dakota. In addition to everything mentioned (and unmentioned!), J. Waylon hosts a weekly radio program on KTEQ-FM 91.3 and is also an avid velvet painting collector.
