V/A: SPELLS / HOOPER - Rock N Roll Swap Meet: Day 1 Split (7" EP)

Having done a different split back in 2016, SLN apparently knew it would work really well to get SPELLS and Hooper back together for the first installment, or “Day 1”, of a new split series entitled “Rock ‘n’ Roll Swap Meet”. The idea wasn’t just to cover each other’s songs, but in addition, to write one song for the other to play. SPELLS and Hooper proved this works REALLY well when you know/understand/LOVE the band for which you’re writing, and ended up with two quick and perfect distillations of each band’s key strengths. Not only that, but the covers they chose of each others’ work both highlight the insane talent of everyone involved.
