WEATHERED STATUES - Desolation (CASS)

Weathered Statues is a dark post-punk band from Denver that features SLN alumni Jason Heller (25 Rifles, The Half Hearts), Bryan Flanagan (25 Rifles) plus longtime Denver heavy hitters Jennie Mather (The Nervous) and Justin Lent (The Clusterfux).  Their debut album, “Borderlands” came out in 2018 via Finland’s Svart Records.  Lol Tolhurst of The Cure subsequently remixed their song ‘Corpse Candle’. "Desolation" features a suite of tuneful songs that manage to capture a stark bleakness while offering a rich palette of sounds and melodies.  That's impressive!
